Alicia Butcher is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Limited License Psychologist in the state of Michigan. She is a two-time graduate of the Applied Behavior Analysis program at Western Michigan University. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 2002 and a Master of Arts degree in 2004. When she began her formal studies in ABA in 1999, Alicia began completing practicum experiences working with children diagnosed with Autism through Western Michigan University, Community Mental Health, Croyden Avenue School and various in-home programs. These opportunities allowed her to develop and hone her skills in Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior procedures. She subsequently earned her BCBA in 2004. Her extensive experience expertise comes as both a therapist and clinician, across varying degrees of autism spectrum disorder treatment. Her areas of specialization include: implementation and development of skill-acquisition programs, natural environment training, functional behavior assessment and intervention plans for more severe behavioral issues. Throughout her studies and professional career Alicia has used the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to treat a variety of skills and behaviors. She has worked with children and adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders. She has also worked with individuals diagnosed with traumatic brain injury, emotional impairment, cognitive impairment, various physical impairments, and mental illness.
